I am currently a student at Texas A&M University. I enjoy fun activities outside like hunting and fishing. I also enjoy taking my dog, Hank, on long walks and to the lake. I have 6 sibling and I come from a large family. On weekends I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am very excited to become a teacher as, I have been dreaming about this since I was a young girl.

I am extremely to continue my love for teaching through college. I love learning from every teacher possible and what works best for me. I also think it is very important that each child knows they matter and they are special. I also think that parent involvement is necessary for a child's success. I also believe in each child's is just as important as the next child and that I will do everything in my power to ensure successful comprehension.

Teaching Philosophy 

General Education Philosophy- My philosophy is grounded in the belief that education needs to be student-centered, inclusive, focuses on academic achievements as well as personal achievements. I view my role as a teacher as someone who explores curiosity, invited independent thinking, and encourages the need to learn. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, classroom that invites each child to embrace their individuality through group work, hands on activities, and personal assessments.I believe there are no dumb questions and no child should feel unintelligent because they do not understand something, every question will be answered to the best of my ability with positive reinforcements.

Educational Technology Philosophy- I believe that the use of technology in an elementary classroom can become beneficial for not only the kids but for the teacher as well. Technology in classrooms offers students the opportunity to connect with each other, explore new waysto learn that were once not feasible, and create more personalized learning. Technology allows the ability to reach each student individually with a more personable learning experience. However, as much as I love incorporating technology I also understand how important it is to balance screen time and offline learning.

1. Designer

I used the ISTE Standard designer when I created a powerpoint about matter that includes two interactive activities.

I used the ISTE standard leader when we completed the digital tool presentation. It allowed us to create presentations and then learn about ways we could improve and ways we could help other teachers.
